UK Groups

Since I joined the York group I’ve made lots of friends, told hundreds of people about Tools for Self Reliance, and raised quite a bit of money – as well as helping out the refurbishers. I really feel its a worthwhile organisation and helping as I do I feel I’m doing my bit for development.
York volunteer

There are around 60 volunteer groups, stretching from Aberdeen to Jersey. Each has it’s own personality. Some groups have come together through a common interest such as their church or club others might be members with special needs. Many of the groups have retired people and meet during the day. Some groups have working members and meet in the evenings, each choosing their own level of involvement.

All groups collect and refurbish tools and /or sewing machines.

Being a volunteer in a local group is a great way to get involved in Tools for Self Reliance. Once supporters have been involved for a few months they can also become members.

If you would like to join a group check our map to see if we have one near you and then contact us for a local number. If there is none nearby why not start a group yourself?
