New Forest Rotary Horse and Cycle event
We are looking for people to join our Tools for Self Reliance team at this year’s New Forest Rotary Horse and Cycle event on Saturday 17th May. You can walk, cycle or horse ride through the beautiful New Forest, whilst supporting local charities – including us! You can see more details about the event on their website.

Coffee Mornings and Afternoon Teas
Come along to one of our Coffee Mornings or Afternoon Teas and grab a free cuppa! As well as tea/coffee, cakes and biscuits, there will be tours of our workshops, a short talk about the work we do and a raffle.

Both of these sales take place 10am – 1pm. There is free parking available, plus refreshments. All items are excess stock, not suitable for our projects in Africa and funds raised will support our work.
Craft to Craft Workshops

20 February – Learn to Crochet a Granny Square
Using one or more colours; learn how to make a square, the basis of so many crafted items — baby blankets, throws, bags, shawls, jackets etc.
13 March – Egg shaped Temari Balls
Embroider a Faberge style egg as an unusual Easter Gift.
10 April – Zentagles
Create stylish black and white pen and ink designs to use on other projects. (Please bring your own zentangle pen.)
15 May – Button Jewellery
Make and takeaway a beautiful necklace using coloured buttons. Back by popular demand!
19 June – Dorset Buttons
These are embroidered around a ring in yarn or embroidery silk. They are colourful, fun to make and can decorate clothing and accessories, providing an endless variety for embellishment.
Date TBC – Corsages
Come and make a fabric corsage – or maybe two or three. We will have several to choose from, including no-sew chiffon flowers.
Date TBC – Japanese Garden Squares
A circle becomes a square — all hand stitched. One can be prepared at the session and could form the start of a larger project.

Knit a small animal, flower or vegetable—to embellish or as gifts.
