Skills and mobility in Sierra Leone

This winter, can you help women affected by disability in Sierra Leone?

In 2024 we will work with Mobility Sierra Leone to provide vocational and business skills training to women who are either living with a disability or with family members who have a disability.

In Bo City, women are the most likely caregivers to people with a disability.  Our project will train 20 women in tailoring or hairdressing, so that they will have the means to earn an income and support themselves and their loved ones.  The project will also teach trainees to repair mobility carts and crutches, essential skills in a city with high rates of disability.  Having access to safe mobility aids is essential for maintaining well-being, dignity and independence.

Your donation could support persons with or affected by disability, equipping them with the means to earn a livelihood and changing the perception that those with disabilities cannot be productive members of society.
