Doubling your impact this winter

We’re taking part in the Big Give 2023.

The Big Give Christmas Challenge is an annual matched funding campaign, meaning that your donations go further.

Every donation you make during this campaign is doubled – so you’re £10 becomes £20, your £50 becomes £100, and even £250 becomes £500! Double the donation, double the impact, at no extra cost to you.

Running between Tuesday 28th November (midday) to Tuesday 5th December (midday) your donation will support vulnerable young women in Sierra Leone to build a sustainable livelihood.

With your help, we will work in partnership with Mobility Sierra Leone to train 20 young women who are either disabled or live with a family member or dependent who is disabled. Each women will take on a year-long vocational training course in either hairdressing or tailoring.

The course will be run by expert trainers in Bo City, Sierra Leone and ensure that these young women, have the opportunity to set up their own businesses or seek future employment.

Alongside this, each women will be equipped with not only the technical trade skills, but also the tools she needs to make her business a success, including equipment, marketing and business skills and sexual and reproductive health rights training.

Our courses are always holistic, meaning these women have the best chance of long term success.
