Tools for Self Reliance - 30 years strong

A year of achievement

In 2010 we helped thousands of people in Africa work their way out of poverty, including many of the most disadvantaged. We sent nearly 35,000 tools to projects which are helping these people directly – tools that if bought new in the UK would have cost over £500,000.

We also helped our partners provide vital training – training that multiplied the benefits to those who received the tools many times over. Last year we helped a record number of people gain new skills and qualifications.

In our 2010 Annual Review you can read about:

  • the impact this has had on the lives of ordinary people
  • how we spent your money
  • how we listen to the needs of our partners in Africa
  • how people all over the UK are motivated to help
  • how you can help too, right now
