Collectors
How to be one
If you have a bit of storage space and are willing to take in tools (and maybe sewing machines) from the public in your area then you can be a collector.
How it works
Once you’ve agreed to be a collector we put your name and telephone number on our collectors list. Then when someone in your area contacts us to donate tools we ask them to get in touch with you. Some collectors will go and pick up tools from people’s houses, others ask that the tools are brought to them. Once you have a few tools you can pass them on to a nearby Group who will refurbish them, or take them to Netley Marsh.
Tools We Need
We respond to requests from artisans in Africa who need workshop tools to contribute towards the development of their communities. So we send only the tools they need – which must be of good quality and be expected to last a long time. To find out what we need click here.
