We believe that helping people to help themselves is the best way for them to improve their standard of life. But we also recognise that we don’t live in an equal world. The odds are stacked against those in the developing world with Western countries and multinationals calling most of the shots.

Campaigning can help. The Make Poverty History Campaign has had a big impact on the decision making of he G8 leaders, although we recognise that even more needs to be done.
