Tools for Self Reliance’s patrons are Archbishop Desmond Tutu , the Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu and the development writer Susan George.
We are a charitable company governed by a group of trustees. Our trustees are elected from, and by our members. Our members include volunteers, staff, and partners but anyone that shows commitment to the work of Tools for Self Reliance is entitled to become a member.
The day to day work of the organisation is carried out by a small staff, (shown in our organisational chart), and a host of different volunteers. We are always in need of more people to volunteer and have a variety of different vacancies.
