Two full time vacancies at Netley Marsh

We are currently recruiting for the following two posts.

Post 1 – Partnership Development Officer


A Partnership Development Officer to join our Africa programme team.

The Partnership Development Officer will:

  • develop new and existing partnerships with appropriate African organisations
  • develop, manage, monitor and evaluate projects with partners
  • manage the tool sending process with partners and colleagues.

You will need:

  • practical experience or knowledge of rural development, ideally with artisans or micro-enterprise
  • to enjoy working with all kinds of people, from UK volunteers to African artisans
  • to be ready to spend up to 8 weeks per year working with partners in Africa.

This is a fixed term two-year contract with the possibility of it becoming a permanent position.
Salary £22K, 10% non-contributory pension and 25 days holiday.

Post 2 – Group Support Officer


A Group Support Officer to join our UK programme team.

The Group Support Officer will:

  • maintain regular contact with volunteer groups, including visiting them
  • help groups to refurbish quality tools for artisans overseas
  • encourage groups in awareness raising
  • help in fundraising efforts.

You will need:

  • to be a good communicator, happy to work with people from all walks of life
  • to be ready to travel around the UK and to work some evenings and weekends
  • a good knowledge of hand tools, and an ability or interest in refurbishing them
  • an interest in rural development in Africa.

This is a permanent position.
Salary £18K, 10% non-contributory pension and 25 days holiday.
