Spanish Workcamp lending a hand in Netley Marsh
The students, all from the King Juan Carlos University in Madrid, began their two-week stay with Tools for Self Reliance on Saturday 28th July. Along with their enthusiasm and willingness to work, it appears that they have also brought some Spanish sun with them as the British weather has changed remarkably for the better since their arrival.
These two weeks represent a fantastic opportunity for the students to learn about our work, how to refurbish some tools and also attend a special development education session. Netley Marsh staff and volunteers are enabling the visitors to practise their English and vastly increase their tool vocabulary in exchange for some much appreciated help in the workshops!
The group will be with us until 11th August.
