Success Story as Banakampala Tailoring and Dhobi Services Quadruple their Business in Only 2 Years!
When the Ugandan Rural Development and Training organisation recently visited an artisan enterprise in Kakumiro Kibaale distrist, they were amazed at what they found.

Banakampala Tailoring and Dhobi Services are an entrepreneurial bunch who set up their workshop in 2003. After receiving one of the tool kits sent on a shipment by Tools for Self Reliance, the group worked hard to ensure their future success. This effort seems to have paid off as in just 2 years business capital had increased from 500,000 to 2,000,000 Ugandan shillings (approx £145 – £578). As a result, the group has been able to renovate their workplace and one of the members, Ibrahim Muwonge, has bought himself a motorcycle and cattle.
