As you may have heard via the grapevine we are aiming to issue revised kit lists shortly. This comes after a lengthy period of consultation with groups, partners and other stakeholders. The changes will remove the current anomalies from the kit lists, and will ensure that the tools we send are more finely tuned to the needs of the artisans. We will be explaining the finer detail in due course but as the new kit lists are due to be introduced at the start of September, now would be a good time to start thinking about the additional tools you will need to collect and those which will be no longer needed. Some tools, which we have requested in the past are no longer required. These include:

Tools and Measures on the Imperial Scale
Hydraulic Car Jacks
Augers
Knee Lasts
Lacing Needles

Far many more tools not previously included have been added to the kit list revision. These include:

Carpenter’s Mallets
Chain Pipe Wrench
Electrical Screwdrivers
Hydrometers
Marking Knives
Woodturning Tools
