It’s all hands to the deck in Netley Marsh at the moment for the preparation of the latest shipment to Uganda, which we hope will be sent out by the end of August. The tools will be shipped to our Ugandan partners, Uganda Rural Development Training (URDT) and Network of Local Artisans (NOLA).
The next shipment to leave the workshops of TFSR headquarters in Netley Marsh will be winging its way to Zimbabwe thanks to international collaboration with the German Development Service (DED) and the Organisation of Collective Co-operatives in
Zimbabwe (OCCZIM), a Zimbabwean non-governmental organisation. The current anticipated date for this shipment is in early September.
This new project is active in Masvingo province and works towards the promotion of informal sector associations (ISAs). It also combines tool-sending with training and credit schemes in order to ensure sustainable growth for artisan activities in Zimbabwe.
