25th Birthday AGM
This year it was the turn of the Wakefield Pennine Camphill Community to host the 2006 AGM. TFSR members flocked from all corners of the UK to take part in an event that also celebrated 25 years of work improving the livelihoods of African artisans.
The special guest speaker at the 25th birthday AGM was Vincent Subbey, who is sustainable livelihoods programme coordinator for Tools for Self Reliance partner TRAX Ghana.
His informative presentations on the work of TRAX, the issues facing farmers in Northern Ghana, and the difference that training and tools can make highlighted the real and positive contribution that TFSR members and volunteers are making.
During the formal part of the proceedings the new Organisational Strategy was officially adopted for the next five years and afterwards, there was plenty of opportunity to welcome new faces, catch up with old friends, and enjoy the party atmosphere.
